What injuries is this cold wrap suitable for?

The Coldone Ankle Wrap is an ideal cold wrap treatment for foot and ankle injuries, including ankle sprains and acute tendon injuries.

How does the Coldone Ankle Wrap work?

The ankle wrap fits like an open toe, open heel sock. The high spliced heel design provides added support and compression to the Achilles tendon. With the use of compression, cold therapy is driven deep into the muscles, tendons and ligaments to help reduce swelling and prevent stiffness after injury. The extended coverage on top of foot reduces swelling in hard to reach areas. The wrap is made up of an outer layer of neoprene, a middle layer of sewn in re-freezable gels and an inner layer of rubberized linen. The re-freezable gels maintain their flexibility for comfort and a proper fit. The inner linen layer protects the skin from cryoburn enabling the wrap to be worn against the skin and over clothes. Adjustable Velcro closures ensure a secure fit and enable the user to dictate the amount of compression applied.

Most athletes are aware of the importance of applying ice or cold packs to an ankle injury, particularly where swelling is present. However the importance of compression in addition to cold is often overlooked, increasing the time needed to reduce swelling. The Coldone ankle cold wrap combines cold and compression in an easy to use support with none of the mess associated with ice.
