What injuries is this support suitable for?

The McDavid 419 Multi Action Knee Strap is designed to help relieve the pain associated with runners or jumpers knee and patella pain.

The strap is also ideal to help correct tracking of the patella after patella subluxation.

How does the McDavid 419 Multi Action Knee Strap work?

The strap is made from two way stretch neoprene with a Velcro closure for optimum fit. It features two adjustable foam buttresses which can be positioned inside the strap according to the injury being treated.

Jumpers or Runners Knee

To help relieve the pain and discomfort of jumpers or runners knee place one of the buttresses at the bottom of the lower strap so it applies pressure upwards onto the patella tendon.

Patellofemoral pain

To help control the sideways movement of the patella place one buttress either side of the patella, for vertical control place one above and below the patella.

Patella subluxation (dislocation)

To help correct patella tracking and reduce lateral subluxation place one buttress at the lateral side of the patella.

Measure around middle of knee:

S/M = Up to 15 inches
L/XL = Over 15 inches
