How does the LP MaxWrap Patella Tendon support work?

The LP MaxWrap silicon elastic patella tendon wrap is made of high-quality materials, the elastic fabric is a strong, tight weave, but still retains flexibility. The silicon backing runs the full length and width of the wrap; a soft satin leading edge; and an extra wide Velcro closure.

The compression provided by the support restricts the movement of your patella, preventing movement beyond a natural range, adding strength and endurance that allow you to perform longer and harder. The silicon backing ensures that the wrap does not slip from where you place it on your knee and it also provides a constant tight fit throughout your activity. The leading edge has a soft satin covering, to prevent skin irritation, and aids in applying the wrap. The wrap has a wide Velcro closure to give you the maximum amount of security, preventing any accidental removal of the wrap during use.

To apply a proper fit, stretch the wrap tight at the front of the knee, below the patella, relaxing the wrap across the back of the knee. The unique combination of elastic and silicon allows you to support a specific area, while not constricting the entire joint. The special combination of materials will not stick to skin or hair, only to itself, for irritation free use and painless removal.

Always make sure your skin is clean and dry before applying any wrap to ensure a tight, irritation-free fit. Avoid over tightening as this will restrict blood flow and compress nerve endings, causing swelling, numbness and redness.

To clean the wrap hand wash in cold water with a mild soap, rinsing thoroughly, and let air dry. Do not machine wash or dry, do not dry clean and do not use bleach.
