What injuries is this knee brace suitable for?

The McDavid 427 Deluxe Hinged Knee Brace with a Pin Stop Mechanism is good for moderate to severe knee joint injuries where instability or ligament damage has occurred.

The knee brace offers excellent support in cases of joint sprains, cartilage injury, posterior and anterior ligament injuries.

It combines the benefits of a hinged knee brace with the elastic straps of a stabilized knee support.

How does the McDavid 427 Deluxe Hinged Knee Brace work?

The main body of the knee brace is made from thick 4mm thermal neoprene to provide therapeutic body heat retention which helps to relieve pain and stiffness, and promote healing. The neoprene sleeve also provides firm compression and soft tissue support to the knee joint. It features solid metal stays on both sides of the brace to give a high level of lateral support to the knee joint protecting medial and lateral ligaments. The hinge system has pin stops which enable the user to control and limit the amount movement or flexion the knee brace will allow. This locking knee brace will prevent hyper-extension (bending back the wrong way) as well as restricting movement at 0, 15, 30 and 45 degrees. Adjustable Velcro straps at the top and bottom of the brace hold it securely in place, and there are also four elastic crossing straps to give additional support.
