The McDavid 429 PS II Hinged Knee Brace is good for moderate to severe knee joint injuries where instability or ligament damage has occurred, particularly involving the Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Medial Collateral Ligaments

How does the McDavid 429 Hinged Knee Brace work?

One of the most popular McDavid hinged knee braces, it is a lightweight version of the McDavid 428 hinged knee brace. The main body of the brace is a long thick neoprene sleeve which provides therapeutic body heat retention to help relieve pain and stiffness, and aid healing. The neoprene sleeve is also effective in providing firm compression and soft tissue support. It features geared poly-centric hinges, hyper-extension stops and condyle pads for enhanced protection and comfort. The aircraft grade aluminum gears allow the brace to move smoothly as the knee moves whilst still maintaining optimum support. There is a sewn in patella buttress for patella tracking and adjustable Velcro straps at the top and bottom of the brace to ensure a secure fit.

This is certainly one of the best hinged knee braces we have been able to find.
